Jay just received notice of his resident spouse approval - or something like that -We're not sure exactly what it is called, but it is one of the first steps for Jay to work toward his American citizenship. Remember - Jay is from England.
We were not aware of just how hard it is to become an American citizen. The forms Meredith and Jay have had to complete and the hoops they have had to jump through and will continue to jump through are not only numerous and tedious, but extremely costly! Surely this is a good sign!

Thanks for the info. I'll get a message to Mere and Jay.
I don't think anyone looks at this blog anymore. How do you end it with dignity? Seems like too much work for no appreciation.
